Wednesday, July 4 at 5 PM – 8 PM
More info the annual 4th of July Fireworks in Washington, DC is one of the most famous displays in the U.S. – watched by millions of Americans on TV. Like many others, you can watch this spectacular event from the comfort of your own home, or you can come see them in person, with us.
Seeing the fireworks on the National Mall in Washington, DC is a tremendous experience, but, we prefer to watch them from across the Potomac River in Virginia, at the Netherlands Carillon. The view is just as good and the crowds/parking/traffic are much more manageable.
In the past, we’ve asked people to bring blankets and/or chairs and we camp out in the area around the Netherlands Carillon starting at approximately 5:00 pm, with the fireworks beginning after 9:00 pm. Please note, you have to arrive early to get a good seat but the time goes by fast chatting with members of our group.
